Cheesy Hamburger Broccoli Skillet

A delicious and easy one-pan meal combining savory ground beef, fresh or frozen broccoli, and gooey cheddar cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 cups broccoli florets (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 medium onion (diced)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup cooked rice (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the diced onion and sauté for about 3-4 minutes until translucent.
  3. Add the minced garlic and ground beef to the skillet. Cook until the beef is browned, breaking it apart with a spatula, for about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat if necessary.
  4. Stir in the salt, black pepper, and paprika. Mix well to combine.
  5. Add the broccoli florets and beef broth to the skillet. Cover and cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the broccoli is tender.
  6. If using cooked rice, stir it in until well combined.
  7. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top. Cover and let it cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the cheese is melted.
  8. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

Use fresh broccoli for the best flavor, but frozen broccoli works well too. For an extra kick, add some red pepper flakes.
