Creamy Crockpot Cajun Butter Chicken

A delicious and easy-to-make Cajun butter chicken that simmers to perfection in a slow cooker.

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 1 cup butter
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Cooked white rice or crusty bread, for serving

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken breasts in the slow cooker.
  2. Mix together the melted butter, Cajun seasoning, chopped onion, minced garlic, and heavy cream in a bowl.
  3. Pour the mixture over the chicken.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 360 minutes or on high for 240 minutes, until the chicken is tender.
  5. Shred the chicken in the sauce and stir well.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve over fluffy white rice or with warm crusty bread.

Notes

For added flavor, consider marinating the chicken in Cajun spices before cooking. Adjust the heat level by altering the amount of Cajun seasoning.
