Crockpot French Dip Sandwiches

  • 23 pounds beef chuck roast
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • French rolls or baguettes
  • Sliced provolone or mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Place the beef chuck roast in the crockpot and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Add the sliced onion and minced garlic on top of the beef.
  3. Mix the beef broth, water, and Worcestershire sauce in a bowl, then pour over the meat.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 480 minutes or until the beef is tender.
  5. Shred the beef with two forks and stir to combine with the juices.
  6. Serve the shredded beef on French rolls or baguettes, topped with cheese, and serve with a side of the au jus for dipping.

Notes

For added flavor, consider using bone broth or marinating the beef overnight in Worcestershire sauce. Fresh herbs like thyme or rosemary can enhance the taste.
