  • 2 cups pecans, chopped or halves
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup corn syrup (light or dark)

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 package (15.25 oz) yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted or thinly sliced

  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the pecans, eggs, brown sugar, corn syrup, vanilla, and salt.
  3. Pour the pecan mixture into a greased 9×13 baking dish.
  4. Sprinkle the yellow cake mix evenly over the pecan filling.
  5. Drizzle the melted butter over the cake mix, ensuring even coverage.
  6. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the center jiggles slightly.
  7. Let cool for 20 to 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

For added crunch, sprinkle extra pecans on top before baking. If it browns too quickly, tent with foil for the last 10-15 minutes.
