Edible Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough

Delicious and safe cookie dough that appeals to both kids and adults, made without raw eggs or uncooked flour.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (120 grams)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup packed brown sugar (light or dark)
  • ½ cup butter (salted or unsalted, softened)
  • 24 tbsp milk (more or less as needed)
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch salt (omit if using salted butter)
  • ½ cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Heat the flour: Microwave the flour in 20-second intervals until it reaches 165℉, about 40-60 seconds. Alternatively, bake it in a 350℉ oven for 3-5 minutes. Whisk or sift the flour to remove lumps, then let it cool.
  2. Cream the butter and sugars: In a bowl, cream the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together until the mixture is light and fluffy.
  3. Combine ingredients: Add the cooled flour, vanilla extract, and salt to the butter mixture, mixing well. Gradually stir in milk until you reach your desired consistency.
  4. Fold in the chocolate chips: Gently fold the chocolate chips into the dough.
  5. Enjoy your cookie dough: Your edible cookie dough is now ready! Serve it in small bowls or use it to top desserts.
