Healthy Brownies

Delicious and nutritious brownies made with black beans, perfect for satisfying chocolate cravings without the guilt.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup black beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1/2 cup almond butter
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine the black beans, almond butter, honey or maple syrup, cocoa powder, vanilla extract, baking powder, and salt in a blender or food processor until smooth.
  3. Stir in the dark chocolate chips.
  4. Pour the batter into a greased 8×8 inch baking dish.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the edges are firm.
  6. Allow to cool before cutting into squares.

Notes

Serve warm with vanilla yogurt or fresh berries. Can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for about a week.
