Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 chicken thighs
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons mirin
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Combine soy sauce, mirin, sugar, grated ginger, and sesame oil in a bowl to create the marinade.
  2. Add chicken thighs to the marinade, ensuring they are fully coated.
  3. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or overnight for best flavor.
  4. Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium heat.
  5. Grill chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked and juices run clear.
  6. Remove from grill and let rest for a few minutes before slicing.
  7. Garnish with chopped green onions and serve hot.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the chicken thighs overnight. Use chicken thighs for more moisture and tenderness. Adjust cooking time if using chicken breasts.
