Louisiana Voodoo Fries

Delicious and cheesy Louisiana Voodoo Fries that are easy to make and perfect for any occasion.

  • 26 ounces frozen French fries
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground white pepper
  • 2 teaspoons ranch seasoning powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne powder (divided)
  • 8 ounces white cheddar cheese (shredded)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven or air fryer to 400°F.
  2. Arrange the frozen fries in a single layer on a baking sheet or air fryer basket.
  3. Bake until golden brown according to package instructions.
  4. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.
  5. Whisk in the flour until combined and cook for about 2 minutes.
  6. Gradually add the milk while whisking continuously.
  7. Stir in the salt, white pepper, ranch seasoning, and half of the cayenne.
  8. Lower the heat to medium-low and cook until the sauce thickens (about 5 minutes).
  9. Stir in the shredded cheese until melted and creamy.
  10. Pour the cheese sauce over the cooked fries and serve warm.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding chopped green onions or jalapeños on top.
