Pioneer Woman Taco Casserole

A delightful Taco Casserole bringing together taco flavors in a comforting dish, perfect for family dinners.

  • 500 grams Ground beef
  • 1 medium Onion (chopped)
  • 2 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 2 tablespoons Taco seasoning
  • 1 cup Tomato sauce
  • 1 cup Black beans (drained)
  • 1 cup Corn
  • 2 cups Tortilla chips (crushed)
  • 2 cups Cheddar cheese (shredded)
  • ½ cup Sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons Green onions (chopped)

Instructions

  1. Cook the beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef. Stir occasionally until it is fully cooked.
  2. Add seasoning and sauce: Add the chopped onion, minced garlic, taco seasoning, and tomato sauce to the skillet. Stir everything together and let it simmer for a few minutes.
  3. Prepare the baking dish: Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Lightly grease a baking dish.
  4. Layer the casserole: Start by adding a layer of crushed tortilla chips at the bottom. Next, spread the beef mixture over the chips. Add layers of black beans, corn, and half of the cheddar cheese. Top with another layer of crushed chips, then the rest of the beef mixture, and finish with the remaining cheddar cheese.
  5. Bake the casserole: Place it in the preheated oven and bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Add toppings and serve: Once out of the oven, let it cool slightly. Then top with sour cream and chopped green onions before serving.
