  • 1/2 cup hot honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Burger buns for serving
  • Optional: pickles, coleslaw, or extra hot honey for topping

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken thighs in the slow cooker.
  2. Mix together the hot honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  3. Pour the sauce over the chicken in the slow cooker.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 360 minutes or high for 240 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
  5. Shred the chicken with two forks in the slow cooker and stir to combine with the sauce.
  6. Serve the hot chicken on burger buns, adding pickles or coleslaw if desired.

Notes

For added flavor, marinate the chicken in the sauce for a few hours before cooking. Adjust the spiciness by using less hot honey if desired.
