Chicken Noodle Soup

A warm and comforting classic Chicken Noodle Soup, perfect for chilly days.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup cooked shredded chicken
  • 1 cup egg noodles
  • 1 carrot, diced
  • 1 celery stalk, diced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat the chicken broth over medium heat in a large pot.
  2. Add the carrots, celery, onion, and garlic; simmer until the vegetables are tender, about 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in the egg noodles and cook until tender, about 6-8 minutes.
  4. Add the shredded chicken and heat through.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

For a thicker soup, mix in a cornstarch slurry or blend a portion of the soup and stir it back in. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
