Matcha Latte Cookies

Delightful cookies blending rich, buttery flavors with the unique taste of matcha green tea, perfect for a sweet snack or special treat.

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons matcha green tea powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Whisk together the flour, matcha powder, baking soda, and salt in another bowl.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. If using, fold in the white chocolate chips.
  6. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, about 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  8. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes
